The experts of the appraisal committee believe that the product prototype has reasonable design, appropriate material selection, excellent performance, and meets the requirements of the development mission statement. At the same time, the development unit has strong R & D capability, complete manufacturing process equipment, perfect test and inspection conditions, effective operation of the nuclear quality assurance system, and batch production capacity. The appraisal committee unanimously agreed to pass the appraisal.

The successful development of Dongwu Machinery's CAP1400 main steam safety valve prototype has filled the gaps in the country, possesses independent intellectual property rights, and its main technical parameters and performance indexes have reached the advanced level of similar products in the world, which can be applied to CAP1400/CAP1000 and other nuclear power projects.
